This success story, started with a simple idea, but quickly grew into a bigger project than we could have imagined. Initial discussions lead us to discover that in the fast moving market place that is kitchens. A lot of businesses are tapping into own label alternatives which focus not just on value, but on driving brand desirability, trust and credibility.

 

We understand that going up against established brands can be difficult, however we understood that it would be possible to carve out a niche; which is just what we have helped Kuchenmobel do. With a brand identity firmly rooted in ‘the German way’, we have used this ethic and motto to produce a brand style that is –  clean, sleek, simple and understated. Sticking to a strict clean design style has allowed us to keep a modern stylish aesthetic without focusing too heavily on age and gender in target markets, appealing to a wider range of audiences.

Utilising product differentiation to deliver a prominent message

After completing the brand and its comprehensive guidelines, we had the opportunity to work on a variety of printed and display materials ensuring our strong message and visual identity was successfully carried from conception to store. Our consumer focused marketing materials for this project were hinged on suggesting that you could choose another kitchen, but one from Kuchenmobel would be the kitchen of their ‘dreams’.

 

This message was then supplemented by more traditional marketing messages including discounts and sales, specified by the stores themselves. Ensuring not only does our message retain its value, but their tried and true sales techniques were respected.

Initial discussions held with the client, quickly allowed us to identify that this journey was going to need more than a website. We set out to design and develop what has come to be now known as the ‘kitchen konfigurator‘. This tool was developed using years of experience in the marketplace and a greater understanding of the customer requirement; acknowledging that customers wanted real time feedback and pricing when exploring design options for their space.

 

With a complex custom CMS backend interface, store staff can arrange and monitor meetings, as well as update promotions that need to occur to coincide with in-store events. Even allowing users to simply and easily output a pdf summary of their choices ready for any consultations.
